True Biblical Doctrine (PART 2)

I said in the last blog that we were going to discuss (3) Hebrew words that are normally interpreted “doctrine”;

1. Shemua

2. Leqakh

3. Mussar

The word SHEMUA is a cognate of the word  SHEMA.

Jews (including Messianic Jews) say the Shema Israel daily,

Below is a Hebrew transliteration and translation of the prayer, which is taken from  Deuteronomy:4-9

“Shema Israel……………………………………………………..Hear and Obey, Yisrael,

YAHWEH Elohenu………………………………………………YAHWEH our Elohim,

YAHWEH Ekhad………………………………………………….YAHWEH is a UNITY.

U’hab*ta   eht   YAHWEH Elohekha……………………..And you shall love YAHWEH your Elohim,

b’khol–lebabekha……………..with all your heart,

u’b’khol–naph*shekha………and with all your soul,

u’b’khol–mo*edekha…………and with all your might.”

Shema means to hear AND obey!

Shemua literally means a ‘report’ (true or false),

Something we heard,

Rumor.

So shemua could be something that is said (and heard) over and over again until it is believed or obeyed.

For example;

J-sus birthday is December 25th.

We celebrate December 25th because that was when He was born.

You are going to burn in hell for ever and ever if you continue to sin.

You are not going to burn in hell if you continue to sin.

You are not going to burn in hell, but are going to annilated completely.

The Lake of fire is just a metaphorical place; it doesn’t really exist.

It is just symbolic.

The Father , Son and the Holy Spirit are a Trinity.

YAHWEH and Yahshua are a BiUnity.

YAHWEH is ONE, Unitarian.

Shemua is something that;

1. Can be either true or false.

2. It can be well intented,  but is never really researched.

3. Shemua is in modern-day terms is gossip.

There are three things all shemua have in common;

……………………………………………………………………….shemua can be debated forever,

……………………………………………………………………….shemua causes disputes, and

……………………………………………………………………….shemua causes division in The Body of Messiah.

Shemua IS NOT “sound doctrine”.

”  Let no corrupt communication come out of your mouth,

But only what is good and necessary,

that which edifies (builds up) and

gives grace to the hearers.”                        Ephesians 4:29

Shemua should be avoided at all costs!

It does not build up or give grace to those who hear it.

There is more to “Walking Like Yahshua” than hearing a bunch of words that lead you no where.

We must understand, guard, and communicate our words very carefully.

We will give account for them.
